Directed Electronics (herein “Directed”) warrants, to the original purchaser, its window film products (“Film”) against window film defects causing adhesive failure, cracking, delamination, demetallization, or cracking when the Film is sold and professionally installed by an authorized Viper® window film dealer.

Coverage Period: Warranty coverage begins on the date the original Film was installed. The warranty lasts for the lifetime of the vehicle ownership by the original purchaser. THIS WARRANTY IS NON-TRANSFERABLE. This warranty terminates automatically upon the sale or transfer of the vehicle.

Who is Covered?—this warranty extends only to the registered owner of the vehicle at the time the Film was purchased. This warranty does not extend to pre-owned vehicle purchases. If the Film was installed by an automobile dealership prior to the initial sale of the new vehicle, the owner must obtain a Bill of Sale that includes window film to serve as the proof of purchase.

Limitations: DIRECTED HAS ABSOLUTELY NO LIABILITY AND HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE, LOSS, EXPENSE OR COST CAUSED OR PARTIALLY CAUSED DUE TO: IMPROPER FILM APPLICATION OR INSTALLATION, GLASS BREAKAGE OR INSULATED GLASS FAILURE TO SEAL, IMPROPER CARE OR CLEANING, ABUSE, IMPROPER ALTERATION OF ORIGINAL FILM, STRUCTURAL DEFECTS TO THE WINDOW, ANY OTHER ACTS, OCCURRENCES, DEFECTS OR DAMAGES NOT CAUSED BY THE ACTION OR INACTION OF DIRECTED. DIRECTED IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACTS OF THIRD PARTIES INCLUDING ITS AUTHORIZED DEALERS OR INSTALLERS.

ALL WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY STATED HEREIN, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EXPRESS WARRANTY, IMPLIED WARRANTY, WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND WARRANTY OF NONINFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, AND DIRECTED NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANY PERSON TO ASSUME FOR IT ANY LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF THE FILM. DIRECTED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, LOSS OF USE, PUNITIVE, OR OTHER SIMILAR DAMAGES INCURRED BY THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER.

Notice: Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty will last or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from State to State.

Warranty Claim Process: Should the Film fail to meet the warranty terms provided herein, the original purchaser may obtain, without charge, replacement and installation of the Film at any participating Viper® window film dealer location in the United States. To the extent allowed by law, the remedies provided in this Limited Warranty are purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedies. THE PURCHASER MUST SUPPLY THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT OF INSTALLATION ALONG WITH THIS COMPLETED DIRECTED WARRANTY. Please contact an authorized Viper® window film dealer or Directed’s Warranty department to initiate a claim. An inspection of the vehicle may be required. All Viper window films that are professionally sold and installed by an authorized dealers feature a limited lifetime warranty against cracking, excessive fading, delaminating, or adhesive failure.
