We had one on our other vehicles and its great we love it. The only thing we have to find someone who knows how to adjust the sensiitity on it. It goes off when my neighbor with a loud muffler goes by and thunder storms.

I love this system. This alarm works fine in my area of the city with one exception, the buttons are too sensative. I inadvertenatly press the remote buttons and activate the "remote start" function or "door lock-unlock" function. If the ambient noise is up, I don't hear the confirmation "beep" on my 2-way. I cannot trust my memory so I have to eye-ball my car and reenter the door lock button and confirm again by the blinking of the parking lights or the confirmation beep on the remote. Can the wizards at Direct Electronics do anything about this?

I can start my car from the inside of a gym locker room at least 200 yards away from my car. Works great so far, I can't believe that I've gone so long without it. Helps immensely, especially living in cold cold michigan.

This works perfectly as intended. One thing I was not aware of is that my basic Honda alarm will conflict with the Viper system and cause a false alarm if the Honda keyfob remote is activated. Once I took the battery out of my key, everything works great. I have the SmartStart system also, so I have not tested the range much, but it seems to be very good from the few times I used the remote instead of my iPhone 4.

Pros: Pretty good range. many possible features depending on how much you want to be able to do and how much reading you are into. NO ONE WILL STEAL THIS OR EVEN STICK AROUND TO LIFT YOUR STEREO IF THE ALARM GOES OFF! WOW.. Cons: After a remote start, it kills my truck when I am standing next to it to disarm the alarm so I can enter the truck. I tried unlocking it with my key before disarming to see if I could keep the truck running and when I opened the door it thought I was jacking my own truck! See above and WATCH OUT. I purchased this at Best Buy and had them install it there. I will be going back to see if they know what I may be doing wrong or if it is the installation that is incorrect. Possibly me but I can't find anything in the user's guide to tell me I am not operating it correctly..
