| Just had this remote starter installed on my SUV today. I like the features so far. Weather isn't cold enough to actually use it yet. But I would recommend it. |

| Excellent remote start kit with a plethora of features that I absolutely LOVE, like automatically engaging the rear defroster when the car is below 55F, a car finder that totally beats the factory car finder (It emits one long honk then flashes the lights, as opposed to the factory constant annoying honk!) Even the window stickers included in the box are a plus, because although this system does not include security, the blinking blue light on the command module and the Viper window stickers are excellent deterrents, since Viper is a well respected name in Automotive Security.
Installation was as easy as it could be on a system like this, installation of a remote starter should always be left to the professional, I recommend best buy because the installation is free (rather, it's included in the price, but regardless the MSRP is still $249.99 at the time of this review- installed)
The range is incredible, while others claim a 2000' max that's only true over a flat, unobstructed area- now while the same is true for this kit it still has a PRACTICAL range much longer than many other kits I have had, including those from Scytek, and MARS. I am able to start my car from my bedroom on one side of the house, when the car is parked outside on the opposite side of the house, in addition I can start it from my workplace, which is a good 1000' from my car, surrounded by brick and steel, so I am impressed.
Bottom line: It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and they even thought of how to make it do a little bit more. I bought the unit from Best Buy which included a lifetime warranty on the "Brain", and on the installation, the only thing not covered under the LIFETIME warranty is the remotes, which are covered for a year, not unreasonable. Remotes can be lost or broken or just wear out, but guess what, they can also be replaced- I enjoy the peace of mind that if it ever fails to operate it won't cost me a DIME!
I have had 5 vehicles with remote start, 3 General Motors, 2 Ford, this one, installed on a GM Car with Passlock II, is by far the best I have EVER had! |

| What a wonderful item! My husband bought this for me and had it installed. I work overnight and how great to get into my car all warm and cozy before heading on my 45 minute drive home.Normally I'd be shivering and shaking for a good 15 minutes until it warmed up. I also have a older vehicle that never did have a remote for the doors and trunk but do now. I'm just so pleased with the whole thing. It works from quite a distance too. If your thinking about a gift for a loved one and your winters are harsh and cold, take this item into consideration. It would also be wonderful for a family of children to chip in for a great gift for mom. Very thoughtful. |
